Help us celebrate the National Citizens Advice 80th birthday – come to our party!
The national Citizens Advice service is 80 years old this year and we are celebrating with a party on Saturday 14th September at Great Hollands Park Recreation Ground.
The party is open to everyone living and working in Bracknell and the surrounding area and is free to attend. We are also inviting our volunteers, supporters and local community groups, and have been greatly assisted by Involve Community Services and Bracknell Town Council.
We will have family fun activities from 12.30pm until 3.30pm, including refreshments and entertainment. Our aim is to raise the profile of Citizens Advice as a charity and to raise much-needed funds to ensure we can maintain and develop our service, but most of the party activities will be free.
Join ‘Wayz’ of Berkshire Youth on their bouncy castle and fusions bus and try your luck at the toy and gift tombola stalls and a raffle. Find out about the work of Bracknell Forest Council’s park rangers and their hedgehog project. Play tennis with Bracknell Town Council’s tennis coach. Enjoy the playground at the park and the snacks from the kiosk.
For 80 years Citizens Advice has been at the forefront of providing free, confidential, independent advice to everyone. Last year nationally Citizens Advice helped millions of people find a way forward. In Bracknell we assisted 2,929 people deal with 18,674 issues. That’s why we’re here; to give anyone the knowledge and the confidence they need to find a way forward — whoever they are, and whatever their problem.
For everyone, for 80 years.
Citizens Advice Bracknell & District is a local independent charity staffed mainly by volunteers and relying on donations and grants to be here for the community.
